Assault

Assault Is A Violent Crime

Many people make the mistake of thinking an assault charge is not very important. However, assault is a violent crime, and you do not want a conviction on your record. The community at large and the courts take all violent crime cases seriously. Even a simple assault conviction can hinder housing, educational and job opportunities. You need an experienced, aggressive attorney to defend you against these charges. If you have been charged with an assault crime in Minnesota or Wisconsin, call the Law Office of John J. Leunig today.

Our founding attorney is certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Criminal Law Specialist and has handled countless assault cases during his 27-year career. Through his insight, we know how to build a strong defense and fight back against these charges. You can rely on us to thoroughly investigate your case and build the strongest defense possible. When we represent you, we look for mitigating factors such as self-defense and seek to have inadmissible evidence suppressed at trial. We will present the most compelling arguments possible in your defense and vigorously execute them at trial with the sole purpose of obtaining an acquittal. In cases that don’t go to trial, we negotiate aggressively to obtain the fairest and most favorable resolution that can be achieved.
